Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use the ApplyRight app on the web, iPhone or Android. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
1. About these terms
The app is provided by Whitecollars Consultancy Ltd, trading as ApplyRight, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11478911), registered office 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, United Kingdom ("ApplyRight", "we", "us").
Your job search service itself, including what your package covers, fees, refunds and cancellations, is governed by the ApplyRight Terms and Conditions of Service you accepted when you bought your package. These Terms of Use cover how you use the app. If the two ever conflict about your service, the Terms and Conditions of Service apply.
By signing in and using the app you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
- The app is available by invitation only, to clients who have bought an ApplyRight package. Your account is personal to you and must not be shared.
- Keep your sign-in details secure. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us straight away at consultants@applyright.net.
- Keep your contact details and your job search brief accurate and up to date, because we rely on them to apply for jobs for you.
- You must be 18 or over to use the app.
3. What the app shows
The app shows the applications we have submitted for you, the progress of your services, documents we have delivered and updates from your consultant. Information is updated regularly but not always instantly, and the status of an application depends on what the employer tells us or you tell us.
As set out in the Terms and Conditions of Service, we cannot guarantee that any application will lead to an interview or a job offer. Figures and charts in the app describe our activity for you and are not a promise of results.
4. Messages, files and feedback
- Use the chat for matters about your job search and your ApplyRight service. Our team replies during working hours, which the app shows in your local time.
- Only upload files that belong to you or that you have the right to share, and that are accurate. Do not upload anything unlawful, offensive or harmful, such as files containing viruses.
- You allow us to use the information and files you share to deliver your service, including sending them to employers when we apply for jobs for you.
- Your feedback on applications, such as "Good fit" or "Not suitable", helps your consultant target better roles. Your consultant decides which roles to apply for, in line with your brief.
- Please treat our team with respect. We may limit use of the chat if messages are abusive.
5. Meetings
- You can book meetings with your consultant in the app, subject to their availability. Each meeting has a video call link and a calendar invitation is sent to your email address.
- Interview preparation sessions count towards the number of sessions included in your package.
- You can cancel a meeting in the app up to 24 hours before it starts, in line with the Terms and Conditions of Service. For later changes, message your consultant.
6. Extensions and payments
The app is free to use for ApplyRight clients and contains no in-app purchases. Packages and extensions are bought on applyright.net, and those purchases are governed by the Terms and Conditions of Service.
7. Using the app fairly
You must not:
- try to access another person's account or information, or any part of the app you are not meant to use;
- interfere with the app's security or operation, or try to copy, change or take apart its software;
- use the app for anything unlawful or for any purpose other than your own job search.
8. Ownership
The app, its design and content belong to Whitecollars Consultancy Ltd or its licensors. The documents we prepare for you, such as your CV, may be used by you as set out in the Terms and Conditions of Service. Information and files you provide remain yours.
9. Availability
We work to keep the app available and secure, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may update or change the app to improve it, keep it secure or reflect changes to our services. If the app is unavailable, you can always contact us by email.
10. Our responsibility to you
We provide the app with reasonable care and skill. Our responsibility for your job search service is set out in the Terms and Conditions of Service. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for decisions made by employers, or for problems caused by your device, internet connection or the actions of third parties.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
11. When access ends
- After your package ends, you can keep viewing your history in the app. We close accounts 12 months after the package ends, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
- You can ask us to delete your account at any time, in the app under Account or as described on our account deletion page. Deleting your account does not cancel your package or entitle you to a refund; those are covered by the Terms and Conditions of Service.
- We may suspend or close your access if your package is cancelled, if you break these terms, or if we need to protect the security of the app or other people.
12. App store terms
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store's own terms also apply to your download and use of the app. These terms are between you and ApplyRight only. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content, and have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries where Apple's standard licence terms require it.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top and tell you in the app. If a change is significant, we will ask you to accept the new terms before you continue using the app.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. Disputes about your service are handled as set out in the Terms and Conditions of Service. If you live outside England and Wales, you keep any protection given to you by the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
